1995-present
Currently restoring antique and high-end properties in the Hudson Valley and Berkshires. Working closely with area architects to enhance and recreate the magnificence of period residences including a multiple-barn restoration project in Clinton Corners, NY (million dollar project); moving, restoring and adding to an historic home in Tyringham, MA; and gutting and renovating an old nursing home to be transformed into a medical arts practice in Kingston, NY.
National Park Lodges, Grand Canyon, AZ
1990-1995
Head carpenter for this 275-building facility with accommodations for 4,000 guests and employees including lodges, restaurants, and cafeterias- from modern hotel rooms to historic Hopi House and the El Tovar Hotel.
Responsibilities included all aspects of carpentry, maintenance, repairs, and renovation -- basement to roof. Supervised a staff of 5 as well as contract crews when necessary.
Special achievement: In 1990, the Grand Canyon National Park Lodges were rated by Outdoor Magazine amongst the 10 worst accommodations in the US Park System. By 1995, they were awarded top ratings for accommodations by the National Park Service.

1980-1990
Restoring period buildings by recreating the style and feel of antique elements lost to generations of gutting, remodeling, and regrettable decisions. Specialized in accurately reproducing or recreating cabinets, paneled walls, period reproduction moldings, trims, banisters, etc. in houses from the 16th - 18th centuries (First through Federal periods).
